Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Learn new skills such as fencing or dry-stone walling while carrying out useful work for the environment and gain the Volunteering section of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award!  Spend time in the countryside at some of Northern Ireland's most beautiful nature spots, and contribute to protecting our local wildlife.

Bronze, Silver and Gold entrants can work with Grass Roots to complete their Volunteering in the Community by coming out regularly on workdays over a relevant number of months.  Over the years, young people from many schools and youth organisations have worked successfully with Grass Roots.  Some of those who started with Bronze have come back again to complete their Silver or Gold Volunteering, knowing that they have a reliable and fun way to fulfil the requirements, and some have continued to volunteer with Grass Roots for many years afterwards.

Use the email address or phone number on the Contacts page to get further information about completing the Volunteering section of Duke of Edinburgh with Grass Roots Conservation Group.
